The large A1 red and blue painting with the lettering "we have to fight for change" and scribbly portraits over lots of scribbled lettering were based on my anger and desire to fight and protest as a young person during the pandemic when we were constantly inundated with bad news. Most notably, these were created shortly after the murder of George Floyd, so the BLM riots during the pandemic largely informed this work. --Label design by exhibit curator Nancy DeJoy. Labels written by Ben Lash and his team in consultation with artist statements.

1 of 1: We Have To Fight For Change. Part 03
A mixed media digital and painted poster with a dark watercolor background. At the top left corner there is a set of hands with a lit match in the left and cash in the right, setting the Earth on fire. To the right is a pistol. In the center there is a laptop with the logos for Facebook and Twitter, next to three extended fists. There is a person at the bottom of the poster shielding their face. Dark blue text throughout the poster reads "Billionaires wealth rises to $10.2 trillion amid COVID crisis", "Sixth mass extinction of wildlife accelerating, scientists warn", "Protests about police brutality are met with waves of more police brutality across U.S.", "wildfires rage across California", "Polish women travel abroad for abortions ahead of law change" and "Free school meals: the Tory MPs defending refusal to support campaign".
