When the pandemic arrived, I was living outside of my country and had to return. I did not know what to do since everything was closed; as an artist, I had to think in a different way. I was bitten by the fabric design bug, so I wanted to use fabrics with stories and print them to make pieces of clothing. This piece is the first product I made. This design is a tiger in hibiscus flowers, representing tropical life, joy, and being outside to enjoy sunny weather, which was impossible at the time. The tiger itself represents the strength and determination to reinvent oneself. The idea of this piece is that you could wear this new skin to be filled with the courage and warmth that were scarce in the time of the pandemic.

Cuando llegó la pandemia, yo vivía fuera de mi país y tuve que regresar. No sabía qué hacer ya que todo estaba cerrado; como artista, tuve que pensar de manera diferente. Me había picado el gusanillo del diseño textil, así que decidí usar telas con historias e imprimirlas para hacer ropa. Esta obra es el primer resultado. El diseño es un tigre entre flores de hibisco y representa la vida tropical, la alegría y el estar afuera para disfrutar del tiempo soleado, lo que era imposible en ese momento. El propio tigre representa la fuerza y la determinación de reinventarse. La idea de esta obra es que se puede llevar esta nueva piel para llenarse del valor y del calor que eran escasos durante la pandemia.

A l'arrivée de la pandémie, je vivais dans un autre pays et je devais rentrer. Tout était fermé, donc je ne savais pas quoi faire ; en tant qu'artiste, il fallait voir les choses différemment. J'avais attrapé le virus du design de mode et je voulais donc utiliser divers tissus avec un passé pour les imprimer et en faire des habits. Cette pièce est le premier produit que j'ai fait. Le design est celui d'un tigre dans les fleurs d'hibiscus. C'est un symbole de la vie tropicale, de la joue, et du plaisir que l'on ressent dehors sous le soleil, quelque chose d'impossible pendant la pandémie. Ce tigre, quant à lui, représente la force et la détermination de se réinventer. Le but était ce que l'on pourrait mettre cette nouvelle peau pour ensuite ressentir le courage et la chaleur qui étaient si rares pendant la pandémie.

عندما وصل الوباء ، كنت أعيش خارج بلدي واضطررت إلى العودة. لم أكن أعرف ماذا أفعل منذ أن تم إغلاق كل شيء. كفنان ، كان علي التفكير بطريقة مختلفة. لقد عضني خطأ تصميم النسيج ، لذلك أردت استخدام الأقمشة مع القصص وطباعتها لصنع قطع من الملابس. هذه القطعة هي أول منتج صنعته. هذا التصميم عبارة عن نمر في أزهار الكركديه ، يمثل الحياة الاستوائية ، والفرح ، والتواجد في الخارج للاستمتاع بالطقس المشمس ، وهو ما كان مستحيلاً في ذلك الوقت. يمثل النمر نفسه القوة والعزم على إعادة اكتشاف الذات. فكرة هذه القطعة هي أنه يمكنك ارتداء هذا الجلد الجديد ليمتلئ بالشجاعة والدفء اللذين كانا نادرين في زمن الوباء.

新冠疫情来袭时，我在国外，不得不回国，可是一切都关闭了，我竟不知如何是好。作为艺术家的我必须以不同的方式来思考问题。织物设计给了我灵感，我想用有故事的织物，把它们印制成衣服。这个作品是我做的第一个产品。这个作品是一只在芙蓉花中的老虎，代表着热带生活、快乐，以及在外面享受阳光灿烂的天气，这些在疫情当时是不可能有的。老虎本身代表着重塑自我的力量和决心。这件作品想表达的是，穿上这件新衣服，就像有了新的皮肤，充满勇气和温暖，这在新冠疫情的时候是很稀缺的。
