I've always wanted to illustrate poems, and Felix got me interested in the poem "In the Year of the Virus." I used an iPad to illustrate the entire comic. In creating this work, I was reflecting on specific aspects or moments of the pandemic. I can relate to the protagonist in '"In the Year of the Virus," as the anxiety and helplessness he felt hit close to home. In a way, I was venting part of my own frustration with the pandemic while drawing those panels. This is a series of comics that portrays different people experiencing the pandemic. Each comic captures a unique moment in the pandemic, from the initial panic and anxiety to the gradual acceptance of a new normal. It is an innovative blend of poetry by Felix Cheong and graphical art by Eko, brought together by Jia He Yi.

Siempre he querido ilustrar poemas, y Félix me hizo interesarme en el poema "En el año del virus". Usé un iPad para ilustrar todo el cómic. Al crear este trabajo, estaba reflexionando sobre aspectos o momentos específicos de la pandemia. Puedo relacionarme con el protagonista de "En el año del virus", como la ansiedad y el desamparo que sintió me tocaron profundamente. De cierto modo, estaba desahogando parte de mi propia frustración con la pandemia mientras dibujaba esos paneles. Esta es una serie de cómics que retrata a distintas personas que experimentan la pandemia. J'ai toujours voulu illustrer des poèmes, et Felix m'a intéressé au poème "L'année du virus". J'ai utilisé un iPad pour illustrer l'ensemble de la bande dessinée. En créant cette œuvre, j'ai réfléchi à des aspects ou des moments spécifiques de la pandémie. Je peux m'identifier au protagoniste de "L'année du virus", car l'anxiété et l'impuissance qu'il a ressenties m'ont touché de près. D'une certaine manière, j'ai évacué une partie de ma propre frustration face à la pandémie en dessinant ces planches. Il s'agit d'une série de bandes dessinées qui mettent en scène différentes personnes confrontées à la pandémie. Chaque bande dessinée capture un moment unique de la pandémie, de la panique et de l'anxiété initiales à l'acceptation progressive d'une nouvelle normalité. Il s'agit d'un mélange innovant de poésie de Felix Cheong et d'art graphique d'Eko, réunis par Jia He Yi.
