Dear Mother
		I have recd
reliable information that
Frank is doing well he
has only the very varioloid
and that very lightly a man
from this ward saw him
today and conversed with
him I write now to relieve
your mind of anxiety con-
cerning him. My wound 
is doing well – that is
it is no worse than when
I last wrote.
  I was down town to heard
a good sermon in the M
E church by the former
Presiding Elder of our
district whose name I

have forgotten he officiated
about four years ago –
Oh I recollect it was Mr
Arnold he delivered
an able address I must
close for the present as
it is dark your son
