Fairfax Monday April 27th Dear Mother I take my pen to finish a letter that Bro Frank began he gave [two words illegible] [meaning when?] [illegible] him on the march out [of?] Camp I had a good visit with him yesterday and again today he is in good health and spirits they have gone to the Army of the Potomac I suppose I think the Boys all look fine I saw all of them they seemed ples to see me [M. Hovey] is with them [bank?] is full of [few?] as ever so is Dewitt they are good Boys I tell you as for the news there are none of importance of me you know now I am in good health and look as well as I ever did in my life I am the fast [illegible] for the [3?] three Wards of the High school where I am I have about one hours work in a day I [two words illegible] to got fat had I not I heard from you the other day by way of Allie B and by the way of Mary hear from you I am awanting to get my pay the first of next month to send you some money for I know that yo kneed some by this time dont you worry about [illegible] all of the time lately for I dont hear from you in so long I will write soon to you and Sarah Sister you must be a good girl for Frank and I are going to you a sewing machine before long keep up good courage at present no more I remain as ever your son and brothers A H Marsh to his Mother and Sisters
