			Dear Brother
I take this opportunity inform you that I
am a live I am not well yet now I do 
not know as I shall : be sometimes I feel
some better and then am worse again

I have been taking doctor Payns rema^
and think that they did me some good
but I shall have to dispence with
that for my money is all gone I got
10 dollars of Smith in September 
at the time that I left Pennyan
for millport there I was very sick
used some there and the rest here and
am still owing some at Millport
I had to give Smith a mortgage
for the money and for the changes
on my goods Smith gave me a bill
of all that I was owing him up
to the first of August it is 100 and
22 dollars half that is got to be
paid in febuary you know now 

you can tell me how I shall
manage I wish you would
for I do not know which way
to turn myself oh it was a
bad moove when I came west for
then I turned my self out of a
comfortable home to ramble from
place to place which if I had stay
at home in all probibilys not 
have had this disease of the lungs
it was caused by taking cold by
sleeping in an open room I am
to Hannah yet Horrace says he
will give me my bord but I feel
that is more than they ought to
do they have a family to support
and he works by the month
for a living and to me it seems
hard for them to take me in and
take care of me they are very
kind to me Hannah wrote to
you some time last month she thinks
you ought to answer her letter

I have not heard a word

from you since last Augu^
I had a letter from anna
anna she said she had not
heard from you if you don’t
answer this amediately 
I shall have to write to some 
one out there that will tell
me where you are and how
you are my Love to you
