David Bagley Letter : November 30, 1862

Ramsdell writes about his frustration with the Traverse Herald for an apparently deliberate misrepresentation of his political values during an election campaign. He talks about the state of his business, especially his fruit growing venture, although the nature of this business is unclear. As an aside, he notes that Lincoln's leniency with George McClellan and others contributed to the spread of Democratic political views in New York and other (presumably) Northern States.
