Carlos mentions that he does not like living in Saginaw as much as their hometown of Midland. He writes that the rent is high and he is working at a job that pays thirty two and a half dollars a month. Carlos adds that Thomas Bamber contacted them to inform them that he got a job shearing sheep. Also, Annie passes along Thomas' well-wishes and pleads with Sarah to write her a "good long letter."
