more I resume my seat to
pen you a few lines. time wears
on and we are yet in the 
land of the living I am well
at present Hattie is well I
I must introduce you to Mr
Herbert Elmer Hayes He says
how do you do Uncle Joseph
& Aunt Sarah & wishes for a
better acquaintance Ann is getting
along very well she is so she
sits up some The market is
nearly the same now as it
was when you was here excepting
butter & potatoes butter is selling
at fifty five cts per lb. retail
& potatoes are 75 $1-50 cts per
bushel retail apples sell very 
readily at $1-75 cts per bushel

excuse me for not writing
more for I have other
letters to write Hattie will
fill out the sheet write
when convenient give our love
to all

     Sunday morning

		       Dear brother &
Sister as I once more have the
opertunity to wright a few lines to
you hopeing that this wil find you
well as it leaves me at present and
Ann and [illegible] is a getting along as well
as fasable she is up and dressed to day
and is adressing the baby which is
Just one week old to day She is smart
I can not think of much to write but
now goes for luck I supose that they have

a good School their this winter
    I hope so and I hope they do not
[illegible] it as much as they did last winter
if I went to school [crossed out word] I think I should
improve my time beter then I have done
of late

albert piture they look as natural as life albert
llokes Just as if he was a [gointo?] run if
they was photograph I should [illegible] then to
put then in my album which I had the
present of the other day it is a nice one
I tell you I shall return home in a few
weeks if ann gets along well which I
hope she will if nothing hapens when
are you acomeing out here Joseph

how is father agetting along I hope they are
well if not they would have let us know before
how I would like to see the children and all
the rest I must close for it is agetting
church time right now so good buy
