A letter from Sarah and Robert Noddins to their son Thomas Noddins deployed as a Union soldier. Sarah is concerned for Thomas' health because he mentioned he had been ill in his last letter to them. Sarah discusses the crops and livestock on the family farm in Ionia, Michigan. Thomas sent a photo of himself in his last letter, and the family liked it so much they ask for another. Sarah also sends money to Thomas in this letter.
