Wm. F. Peabody born in Washington D.C. Oct 31st
1864.	Enlisted at La Porte Indiana Aug 10th 1862,
in the 4th Cavalry, and the 77th Reg. of Ind Volteers
	And fell mortally wounded during a skirmish
against Van Dorn's forces, at Duck River, Tennessee
March 10th 1863. Died & was buried by his comrades
the next day March 11th
