				Yours of 10 is recd
as stated and shall have [attention?]
at the present the paymaster has no
funds to pay with I am holding
other claims of the kind and the
only course offered of it to hold
the claims till the paymaster is in
funds and then present them for payment
I would with pleasure do anything
I could to [procure?] the money but
you know now there claims are all
claims are [illegible] alike and no chance
for any argument either paid or not paid
I could not advise any other course
but to hold till paid  shall I Hold
the paper or return it to you
