Will discusses his respect for General Ebenezer Dumont, who, he says, is the "only officer that I have ever saluted." Will proceeds to recount the details of his recent travels, which involved a thirty-three mile horse ride in the driving rain. He closes by bragging about gaining weight and proving that he is "stout enough" to make it in the army.
