In this letter to his wife, Thomas Davis says he and Burnett may have the potential to go home on a furlough in about 2 weeks. He names several fellow soldiers going on furlough that day. He says that Burnett is 2nd Lieutenant of Badax Tigers. Thomas tells his wife about the cold weather, dogsledding, and that he looks everyday for a letter from her.
