Thomas J. Davis Letter : February 23, 1863

Davis has little to report on the 23rd. He has not seen combat for some time but anticipates that the heavy fighting will pick up in the spring. Davis picks his letter back up on the 25th of February after his picket duty and tells his wife about the deaths that he was recently informed of. He fears that their daughter will have grown so much when they get back that he won't know her.
