So dont write that old Story over so many times: I would like to hear Something new and Original from you occasionally for I must Say your letters of late are decidedly dry. You never Seem to try to originate anything yourself I would like to see you show some Spirit and force of mind of your own; in most of your letters you have something to say about Jabes wife and Odells folks and somebody's baby etc. Jabes wife nor Odells folks Either you know are no peticular playthings of n my mine; and if I hear from them o^ce a month it u will do me verry well; I don know anything abo^t Ike Odell. I have not heard of him for six months; but if I was allowed to Judge of Odells facilities for Supporting babies; I would say it was time for him to Saw off and quit the business: I have not Recd a letter from Susan Wilson Since I left vicksburg I wrote to her Since I Rec,d a letter from her though She may not have Rec,d my last; my paper is out; write Soon L M Davis Thos.
