Davis writes Lucinda noting that his health is good except for a cold he had nearly all of March. He details that the men are still in Huntsville and that they have little to do. Davis writes that he received a letter from Brother Isaac, as well as one from Lucinda's niece Clara Wilson. He also notes that with many men leaving for furlough at this time, he does not think they will be able to visit home until the other men return. He also notes that Ed Rogers received a sad letter that his wife had died. Davis notes that six new recruits have been received and concludes by writing that he received the piece of Silvie's dress that Lucinda had sent.
