Pioneer Corps 3rd Div 15th A.C_____ Huntsville Ala Sunday June 19th 1864 Dear Wife I again Sit down to write you a few lines to inform you that I still think of You; my health is about the Same as when I last wrote: I rec'd a letter from you this morning dated May 31st but I got [crossed out] [June] one a week ago dated [crossed out] [May 3] June 5th so I did not get mutch news to day; I was afraid those flowers would get mouldy before they got through to Wis __ the Reg't come up from whitesburg yesterday. Our Div are now under Marching Orders and will probably Join Sherman at the front soon; [crossed out] [The bo] Some of the boys sent home part of their money yesterday I Sent Two in viroqua hundred Dollars it will go to Lincoln ^ and you can get it there; Ed Rogers Sent Some to Elias So you can go or send an order with Elias when he gets Ed,s money you will have to pay the Express charges there I loaned Robert Mc a hundred Dollars; or else I would have sent three hundred; Robert did not draw his pay last pay day: the boys in the company are as well as usual; Will Cleary is lying beside me on the bunk as I write indilging in a sound sleep and from appearence is dreaming of the girl he left behind him Will and Mary have been coresponding again by letter for sometime and he intends going to Iowa when he gets his furlough and probably he and Mary will tie up before he comes back; Joy go with go with them so say I; Mary wrote to Alvin that she thought I was Joking in what I wrote to her about Will over a year ago; It was nothing however to me and of course She can Exercise her own Judgement but she may yet see the point of the Joke in a different direction. none of Caulkins folks have sent any word to me by Alvin for a long time perhaps they dont thank me for what I wrote: but if they dont' I did not charge any thing for it: so it will cost them nothing! I rec'd a letter from Isaac yesterday the folks were well no news of importance . I have no news to write to day in your two last letters you seemd to be looking for me home but we have not started and I will now put off the time to the first of November So you can again begin to look for us about that time; Our Reg't is generally at the tail end of every thing except in a fight and there it is generally put in a head but Our time will come after a while: I Remain Ever Yours Truly T.J.
