Milwaukee Wis Dec 30th 64 Dear Wife I will write you a few lines this morning to inform you that I am as well as usual I arrived here yesterday at half past one PM and found that only three of my Co, here viz Lieut Carter, and Jasper Powell and Christopher Koher, This morning Capt McMichael T. Decker V. Mills, J.J. Ross and E Crandall, come in, They say that all on the Badax Remains about as we left it. we are in Camp at Camp Washburn and not half of the Regt here yet I dont know when we will leave here but I think not before the first of Next week. Milwaukee looks about as it did when I was here before So I have nothing new to write about the city So I Shall not write but little this time I Shall look for a letter from you in a a day or two for I am anxious to hear how you got through I will write again in a few days Yours as Ever Thos J Davis Thos.
