[crossed out] [Indianapolis Inda Jan 8th/65] [crossed out] [Carson Graham] [crossed out] [Dear Sir] Nashville Tenn Jany 11th 1865 Dear Wife I will write you a few lines to day to let you Know that we are at Nashvillle and I am in as good health as usual We left Indianapolis on [crossed out] [the] Monday morning the 9th and [page burned] to Louisville the same [page burned] and left Louisville the next evening at one Oclock and arrived at Nashville at 2 Ock this morning. We probably leave here in a few days for Savanah Georgia via Indianapolis and New York So we will Re travel part of the Same road we have Just come over if we get back to our old Division I will probably go back to the Pioneer Corps again: I dont Know how soon we will Start but it will probably be Several days before we get our Regt all together and ready to start We have not Rec'd any mail Since we left Milwaukee and I dont Know whether we will get any before we leave here or not but I think we will: I wrote to you when I was at Chicago and also [page burned] Indianapolis. There was more Snow at Louisville than there was in Milwaukee but there is none here and I think there is none in Louisville by this time as it was raining when we left I have no news to write to day I will write again before we leave here I will look for a letter from you this evening if our mail has not been sent to Savanah: I want you to write how you like the country and also how you like to stay there and all about it I will Dry up for this time Direct to Nashvill until further Notice I Remain Ever Yours Thos.
