Davis writes Lucinda informing her that he is doing well. He details that they left Petersburg and are now near Richmond, as they will pass through the city tomorrow on their way to Washington. Davis writes that the men are all in good health and spirits, however they do not seem to be in a rush to return home. Davis concludes by detailing that the 14th and 20th Army Corps passed through Richmond yesterday, the 17th today, and the 15th will tomorrow.
