Henry Horace Dowd Letter : August 19, 1864

Henry updates Jefferson on the health of friends and family as well as the opertation of the farm. He also notes that his town of Hartford, Michigan, must fulfill a quota of 22 or 23 soldiers for the draft. Henry thinks there is a chance he will have to serve.
