Emma I seat my self to write a fiew lines to you I wrote a leter to you ville when we was in coffee^ [butt?] I have no answer from it yet so I thought I would write once more to you I have just wrote to Mary A Davidson I [recived?] A leter from him of the 21 of January she told me sam was married to Miss secelia Adams Em I think he will get well rite off I wish I had him there we would had some funn I think with them A Newyears night you may bett that I have to bust when i get home if I ever [do?] and I hope that it will be my luck to reach Greenbush all [illegible] as A brick Em I want you to get your picture taken and send it to me I would be thank full to recive it by your next leter Emma we are going to stay here until spring ly and then we shal probab^ go on further south and go to fighting the rebels gain we cant see any of them here we some times go out on A scout [and find?] A few of them the regt has just got in [from?] A [scout?] they had A. little brush with the t rebels but no one hur^ I dont now of any thing to write so I must close By sending my love to you and best respects to all the Greenbush Boys and girls write soon from your loving friend Abraham Breubaker Direct to Jackson [term?] 3rd Mich. .cav.
