	Camp Near Jackson Tenn. February 20 63
		Dear Miss Emma  I
      seat my self once more to write you
      A few lines I got your letter that was
in the Box of things that I got from home
I was glad to hear from you and that you
was well and injoying your self as usual Em
I wish that I had bin thare to [illegible] went with 
you to the dance at old norman [huls’es?] I think
I would had some fun I wish that I could
go to A dance once more I think it would
revive me and make me some what better I wrote
to you some time ago and I hant got an answer
from it yet I never got your letters that you
say you wrote to me Em this that I got in
the Box is the first that I have got from you
since we ware at Holley springs you must let me
now how you injoyed your self at the dance
and what girls ware there at the dance the
Girls are all married mostily that I new I wish
I had bin at home when sam and secelia was married
we would had some funn with them times is
verry dull here with no nothing to do we are
in camp at Jackson yet Em I have [good?] time here
I am with the col of our Regt and have bin
for 4 months it is A better place than there
is in the Regt we have A good col. I tell you
I cant think of any thing more to write so
