Dear Mother.
	            Yours of a late date is
at hand.
	I am well and have much to do
just at present we have changed Brigade Com-
manders consequently have every [illegible in original].
	Expect our pay this week how much.
is the [taxes?] and when to be paid & [write?]
immediately.
		Recd a letter from Bro A
this evening dated Oct 24, well at time
but had narrow escape.
