Circular from Colonel Briggs to the Head Quarters Cavalry
This circular to the Fort Collins Head Quarters warns the commanding officers that a possible attack by Native Americans will be made between the posts of Sulphur Springs and Virginia Dale within ten days. The document warns to, "keep men well in hand and vigilantly guard against any surprise," guard the horses, and for sentinals to be especially watchful at night.
