Hall and Wilcox Papers (LC.00001)

This collection consists mainly of correspondence and other papers relating to the Hall, Wilcox, and Ferdon Families. Much of the correspondence is between Mary Wilcox, Earl Wilcox, Bell Merwin (Mary's Friend), Andrew Ferdon (Mary's brother), and others relating both to the Civil War and to life away from the front. Of particular interest are letters concerning Andrew's health as he recovers from injuries to his back and hips, discussions of life on the home front, and discussion of army life.
