Campt on Lookout Apr 8, 1864 Dear Sister I now take my pen to rite you afew lines to let you know what that we talk a bout mooving back to chattnooga a gain if we do we shall have to go some whare else perhaps i have riten so of ten that i cant think of much to rite ex cept i am well Richard Fisk is sick now with a fevor he is a little better this morning i am well at present and hope to these few will find you the same i have ben making a ring for one of the girls and i want you to rite and tell which one it fits and i will make the rest of them one tell Jane she can rite to me once and a while i would like to see some of her riting well it is rany to day and it rained last night with i have got a little [moss?] that i got to rock sity that i will put in this letter and send rock sity on Lookout it is rocks set up some [illegible in original] feet feet high and in streets and covers a bout sixty or eighty acers it is a nise looking plase well that is all of the great plases that i have seen I cant think of any thing more at present so no more From your Brothe Sol to Cate Direct as before [line illegible in original]
