Chattnooga Tenn the June 1 1864 Dear Sister I recd your letter th yesterday bearing date may 21 I was Glad to hear that you were all well and I hope when you get these few lines that they will find you all still in good health I am quite unwell at present but I think that I will come around all right again in a few days I have not got the Box yet my Descriptive list did not come so I did not get any pay the last pay Day you take all of the wheat on your place and use it untill I come home and take all of the wheat on the Gates place and use it when you write to me again tell me who is working your Place the Boys that come from around there are all well I want you to write to me as soon as you get this and let me know what is going on there if I dont get any better I will send you another letter in a day or two no more at present but I remain your Brother Truly Solomon Hardenberg To Catherine Baker & Family
