An encased tintype photograph of James and William Davis. Typed on back of case is: "These two soldiers are cousins to each other and to Hamilton Davis (see another picture). One is James Davis, son of Allan Davis and the other is William Davis, son of James Davis (it is not know which is which). James was born 27 Oct. 1842 at Burns, Mich. Not known where he died, but it was long after Civil War. William was born 29 Oct. 1845 and died 20 July 1914.
