It is Sabbath day and as fine a day as we have had in a long time This morning we moved our camp about a mile South of town it was north of town we stopped there is where^ [crossed out] [it was] when the boys came back from craborcha -rd I think we shal stay here a while now by our moving camp I was in hopes we would go back to Danville before we stopped again but I do not boss the business now days. About your going to mass I think it will be a fine affair if you are able to stand the journey and if you will use my money [crossed out] [to] you. are welcome I had just as lives you would use it as to use it myself and rather to if you do not want to use it to pay fare you may for spending money use it just as though it was your own. I suppose you will think I am sick if if I do not say some- -thing about it I have got a little cold is all that is the mat- -ter. I wish you would make Jerrie behave he is laying here beside me cutting up all the time. The boys saw some large hills Jerrie says he should think they went 3 miles up ahill he says he saw chestnuts trees 3 feet through and some of the boys saw a sump 4 feet across. but the boys are going to bed so I will stop for tonight. good night. Monday Good Morning. How do you this morn- -ing I am well the boys are generaly well I believe it looks now as though it was going to be a rainy day when it rains and the boys stay in camp the most of them have a chance to lay in their tents but those that have got to do duty have got to go rain or shine but there is nothing like being used to it you know. and if a sold -ier is not used to it I do not know who is but as long as I keep well I can stand it with a good morning I will wind up write soon and oblige your brother J.W.
