September 19-20, 1863
Located on the "Dry Valley" road, about 80 rods north of the Viditoe House
in the National Military Park of Chickamauga and
Chattanooga, and
Dedicated September 18 and 19, 1895
"Colonel J . G. Parkhurst. commanding Ninth Michigan Volunteers and 
Provost Marshal 14th Army Corps, at the head of his regiment did most
valuable service on the 20th."
