My Dear wife I again
write to let you know
that I am well at
present and hope these
fine lines will find
you all well I received
a letter from you about
a week ago but we
have been on the 
march pretty march
much all the time
lately we have been here
2 days we are signing the pay roll to day we
expect to get our pay in
a few days then I will
send you some money
write and let me know
whetter you got the
Dollar I sent you

or not I got a daily
paper yesterday it
says the rebels have got
into pennsylvania I don't
know but they will
which us out yet they have
had a flight at Cumberland
gap and out men whipt
them we are 40 miles
from tennesee I think we
Shall stay here till 
we got our hay I am
writing to will to day
give my love to all
[] children and
kiss little jesse for 
me tell him I want
to see you all very bad
write often as you can
so no more at present
