Jesse is stationed outside Atlanta and is having trouble sending and receiving mail because the railroads were tampered with by Confederate troops. As with his previous letters, Jesse seems concerned about sending money to his wife, hearing about the mundane details of his family members' lives, and sending love and affection to his children.
