tent the most of the time 
we did not drill any at all 
it Seemed like a long day 
although we enjoyed it 
very well. last night 
I went to meeting in number 
three tent we had a good meeting 
the best I have attended 
Since I left right there 
was feeling & earnestness 
there yet God was there 
& I hope the work of the 
Lord will be served here in the 
Army
I do not realy like 
to Send for any thing 
but I think our folks wrote 
that if I wanted anything to 
Send for it & as Philip is 
writing for Something you 
may tell our folks that if 
they are a mind to Send a little 
Butter & So an I would beglad 
perhaps the folks [crossed out] [would] around 
there would put in a little for 
Philip & Ralph & A Carver 
& [illegible] any one that wants 
to put in a little for our benefit 
I do not care anything about 
nicknacks James is [illegible] 
Luther is going on picket & it [illegible] 
I guess they will have a wet time 
but I must close please tell our 
folks of this & they can act their 
own pleasure & I will be
