I now have A few spare moments
to Write and let you know
that I Was well and hope
these few lines will find you
the same How is mother
and father and all the rest of
the family. I heard that mother
Was very unwell on the account of
my being absent I have verry
good times. We have verr bad weather
I am in the service of the state of
ohio they are A talking about 
geting A company to go for 3 years
in the service of the U S if I
go I shall Bee home before I go
