Lebanon Ky. April 28th 1863 Dear Mother again I take time to pen you afew lines to let you know I am well I never enjoyed better health I suppose you have got the over coat which I sent you a short time ago although I have not heard from it yet. well today I have sent that same blanket you sent me for I have another good enough for summer and I cant carry so much on a march I sent also a pair of pants and shirt they are not good for much but I put them in to fill up the box that blanket has ben carried a good many miles since I got it as much as one thousand five Hundred miles at the least we are going to move in the morning, our Regt left two days ago. I expect they are at Green River. I am glad we are going to leave this dirty nasty town for I dont think thare is any fighting to do off thare yet well Mother I hope this will meet you in health you must write often tell Sarah to write Give my love to her & Freddy and except if yourself you must excuse me for writing so short a letter, for it is so noisey I cannot think of anything the Boys are all trying to see how much noise they can make so good Bye from your Loving Son, B F Marsh
