Lebanon. Ky. Apr 12th /63 Dear Friends you may think it strange that I have not answered your welcome letter you sent in one to Dewitt you must not think it is because I did not wish to hear from you. no so. but it has ben for want of time I have had so much writing to do it has taken all my spare time. for soon after I recd it we left Fredricksburg and when we wer at Newport News they kept us on drill or Camp Guard, most t of the time. but at the presan we are having very good times yesterday thare was no drill so I spent most of the time in writing. so and today I have church for the first time I have ben in side of a Church since I left home. and as for the discourse it did not suit me very well for I did not like the way he talked for he caused me to think he was an old sesesh. and I believe he is but I saw some pretty Girls the best looking I have seen since I left Home. I think I shall go again to night. well as for my health it was never better than at present I think and I hope this will find you well tell me how Fra Frankey and Anna. are getting along also the other one I see by your letter to Dewitt that my dog is with you yet take good care of him now as for Dewitt we are tenting together as usual and have some gay old times as we used to have at home I have to give him a thrashing now and then to keep him straight we have had one brush since we commenced our letters and I see he wants me at him again. but I will wait until I finish this now as my time is short I will close hoping to hear from you again soon give my respects to all enquiring friends Yours [illegible] B.F.
