Benjamin F. Marsh Letter : July 23, 1864

Benjamin's grandparents write to him to say how happy they are to receive his letters. They ask Benjamin what he means by "Lincoln Pies," for they had never heard of the term. They also briefly recount their pleasant interactions with soldiers on the west side of New York state and lament that so many have since died.
