I reached this place. about. three
weeks. since. am [to?] remain in this
part of the [illegible] until. Monday [next?]
then good bye. [illegible] cold country.
however. I am having a good time. generally
although the weather. is unfavorable &
it being the wrong season of the year.
how[illegible]ever. if our spirits are right.
we shall enjoy ourselves. without any
trouble.
	My friends in the vicinity of
[Lory?] Lake. propose to [illegible] [even?] with
an Oyster [Srippen?] this week & [illegible]
anticipate a good time. I wish you
were here on that occasion. as also

are all others.
	I visited with [illegible] B  [illegible]
Sunday last. engaged myself well (of
course)
	There has been but. few changes
since you left. and of these Mother
has doubtless . informed you
	Our. Election of [Town?] Officers
was held yesterday Republicans . [Victoriu?]

	Now old boy I shall be
obliged to labor with you. severely.
Why did you not send me your
“[illegible]” [illegible letter] there is no excuse for you
and you are also in debt to me for
our letter. Now can you [illegible]

	I have some Photograph pictures
& should be glad to exchange with
you but would like to [receive?]
yours first. because you have [active?]
