August 26th 63 Dear sisters I do not know as it is necessary to adress you both seperately and I do not know as I can write any so you can read it I have writen so little lately hav and have been so week that my hands tremb (les so that I can hardly hold the pen at all my weekness was occasioned by aloss of apatite for about two weeks I did not eat any thing at all hardly or not so much in the hole time as would make one good meal for a well Aug 31st man but I am getting better now and am about as strong as ever and now I can eat all that I get at meal times and twice between meals I am on low diet [crossed out words] now ^[crossed out] [for] the low diet of the hospital is under the charge of ladies ayoung lady by the name of [crossed out] [miss ha] Miss Hall has charge of our section She comes around every day to see what we want to eat.
