Marie mainly discusses her strained relations with Ellen (relation unknown), who lives with her family. Marie also mentions how a family friend lost another child in their infancy (possibly during childbirth). Lasly, she tells a brief story about Gilbert Taylor, who enlisted in the military to collect the bounty and then escaped to Canada.
