Dear brother I received your
welcome letter laSt night and waS
glad to hear from you and to hear that
you ware in good health and it found
me well aS.common I received [crossed out] [your]
a letter from from father they ware
well when he wrote he got [crossed out] [20 dolla]
20 dollars of money that I Sent him
I have Sent one hundred and
[crossed out] [dollars] fifty dollarS and I hope
he may get it all he Said that. he
had bought fifty Sap bucketS and 
wanted to buy a kettle to boil. Sap in

have had Marching orderS once
but the talk iS that we Shall
Stay here to hold theSe lineS till
