I have no news to write only E is so very crank now that she has got a deed for 3 lots in the City of Peoria that there is no living "with or without her.. so I shall leave here tomorrow morning & go to Peru where I think I shall bide all summer There is a prospect of getting my Pension soon & if I get it back to the time I was discharged I shall be as independent as E for it will be $2184:00 up to last Nov then then wont I [spladge?] yes I will & then wont G.W.B. be one of my best friends. Elizabeth says she would liked to been there to eat sugar (the piggish thing) & I would not mind having alittle hunk my self. when we come to Mich we will have a great hunt & we will tap some pine trees & make E some sugar. I have got the same old rifle yet about as good as ever I have no news to write only the folks say it is hard times here but I dont feel it we have enough to eat & when I want money I work a few days & it comes.
