Mattoon Letter : January 29, 1863

The writer mentions that his eyesight is very poor, as is his health in general. He notes that there are both good and bad officers, then goes on to detail his movements from camps to hospitals. He says that one hospital in particular was extremely overcrowded, but he only had to stay there for a couple days.
