Chattanooga Sept 14th /64 Dear Wife and Children as i have Received your kind Letter after i had Written to you a Cuple of Days i thought i woould Write you a Short one this time Got a letter from Lute and Geor to Day was all well when thay Wrote had not heard from you in a Long While thay Said Got a Letter Brother William day before yester Day was also well get a letter from Brother George the Same Day i Got yours he Seemed to be about half Crasy he Said that Franky had Sold all the Grass on the marsh for 3 Shillings a tun Frankey had not out to have Don that as i had left that with Geor and Frank don rong but he hents about other things Going Rong and Complains Generaly but i will Send you his letter Enclosed in this and then you can See for your selves and maby you can explain some of it to me in your next i want mother to keep his letter safe till i come home and dont tell him about it when you write again tell me all the news if it takes 2 sheats of paper dont send me aney tea as i wont be likely to Get it and i Get along with out it now very Well tell Etty i will Send her Some Money for them shoes in a fiew Days and Some to Maty and Ma to i hope and now i will have to tell you that i am well and hope this will find you the Same Hatty i Dont forget you and harry aney more then i Do the Rest as you are all my children i am Sorry about mothers Leg She had better Do Something for it Go and See the Docter and try and Get it coured Dont be afraid of Starving to Death as i Dont think we will i Shall come home this winter if i can but Dont Depend on it as i cant tell till i try but Good By and a kind and Loveing fare Well for this time OG Dunckel
