hand to let you know that i am well

and Maty hope this will find them well
and your leg hope it is better if not you
had better See Old Dr Randel and see
if he Cant do something for it i am Glad
George is Going to be a good Boy and i
am also glad that he is Going to live
with his unckel William this winter
and i hope he will be a Good Boy and
try to pleas his unckel tell him if
he wants to enlist i will give him
my consent to Do so when the next 
draft takes Place and then he will
have to try to Get all the Bounty
he can and them Come in to the 14
th  so as to be with me but i dont

think he Ever will have a chance to
Enlist as i dont think their ever will
be another draft after this about Sending
home Books it is hard for me to get books
as they ask from 50 cents to one Dollar
for novels hear and i Send most of my
money home Exept what i want for tobac
-co and Stamps Envelopes and paper
but i Sent you another Paper last
night and i Roueled up in it a
Small Gold Pen and Silver holder
for mother and Hatty to Write with
i Bought it of a Boy hear that had
all his money stolen from him and
he wanted some money and i give
him one Dollar for it but if it come
s through Safe Dont Say aney thing
about it as i woould be [illegible in original] for 
Sending it in that way i have Sent
you 20 Dollars by Exspress to Lansing
and then put the Receipt and 5 Dollars
in a Letter and Sent it home Dont
no wheather you will get it or not

hope you will in that Letter i told
you not to Write to me again till
you hear from me again we shall
Leave hear to morrow i am told and
thay say we are Going to take this Hos
-pital to Atlanta if So i Shall be able
to see Lute in a fiew Days i hope if
you Do Write to me again you had
better Direct it to Lute as he will
Get it then if i dont and in the mean
time i will write you again as Soon
as i get to Whear i will stop and
when i no what i am Going to do i will
write to miss Paddy as soon as i get Settled
again and to grand Father and [Genrell?]
also i am verry thankfull to Mother for
the Tea she Drinks for me as i no
She Does So thinking of me and i
can Safely Say that i have verry often
thaught of her when i was eating peaches
but the Peaches are all Gon but i Dont
forget to think of her and the Loved
ones at home for all that i am sorry

Everry thing is so high in Price their
but i believe we shall Get along
some Way by the Blessing of God
we Wont dispare aney Way as long
as God prospers us as well as he
has so trust in him Dear Wife
and Dear children as he will

i am glad Jim Price has enlisted
as well as you are as i was afraid you
woould have trouble with him when
i heard he had Come Back he is
a Sneeking fellow he ant mutch
like Lewis or George boath

to call Lewis my son and George
