This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel is near Savannah, Georgia with Sherman's Army. The army has had to forage for food because of short rations, but none have been starving. He's sent a lot of money home and tells his family what to do with it.
