This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel is happy his son George is going to work for Mr. Williams. He talks about taking care of his sister and his family, including buying more land. He thinks Goerge and Charlie Price were on a steamboat that was lost on its journey, and grieves their loss. Dunckel also sends his respects to their close neighbors.
