This is a letter from O.G. Dunckel, a Union soldier, to his wife Elizabeth and their children. Dunckel tells his wife to give his regards to many of the neighbors and reminds her to pay some workers and do certain chores around the house. He believes the war will end in the fall because of all the victories he's seen against the rebels.
